Dee Brown (born December 16, 1971) is an American entrepreneur. He is the President and CEO of The P3 Group, Inc., a minority public-private partnership real estate development company.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Brown grew up in the Mississippi Delta.[4] He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Bethel University.[5] He is a Doctoral Candidate at Walden University with a concentration in Business Administration and Sustainability.[6]
Career
Brown started his real estate career in the mid 1990s[7].
In 2013, Brown founded the P3 Group, a minority-owned real estate development company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee[8][9][10][11][12][13]. He currently serves as the company's President and CEO[14][15][16][17][18].
In November 2021, Dee Brown celebrated the opening of the Sergeant Elga Lee Roberts Jefferson County Veteran’s Services Center and Memorial with community members and leaders[19].
In 2021, Brown was appointed as the National Policy Advisor on Public-Private Partnerships and Urban Redevelopment to the National Bar Association's President[20][21].
Brown hosts the ForbesBooks podcast, "The Sky's The Limit: Beyond the Deal with Dee Brown CEO"[22][23]. He is also the Founder & Chairman Emeritus of the Brown Foundation Community Development Corporation[24][25].
Brown was named the Entrepreneur of the year for the state of Tennessee by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 1999[26]. In 2021, he was awarded the Congressional Black Caucus Presidential Corporate Philanthropy Award by the National Bar Association[27][28][29].
