Dee Brown (born December 16th, 1971) is the President and CEO of The P3 Group, Inc., the largest minority public-private partnership developer,[10] and Forbes Real Estate Council Member.[1] He also hosts the ForbesBooks podcast, title, "The Sky's The Limit with Dee Brown". [2] He is also, the Founder and CEO of the Brown Foundation Community Development Corporation. [11]
Early life and education[edit]
Dee Brown holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis and an MBA from Bethel University. [1] Dee is a Doctoral Candidate at Walden University with a concentration in Business Administration and Sustainability. [11]
Career[edit]
Dee Brown has a 27-year record of real estate sales, development, management, and success overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar construction, infrastructure, water/sewer, and environmental projects for government and private-sector clients.[1] [3]
He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the P3 Group, a construction company, a minority-owned international real estate development, and consulting firm.[4] [5]
He was appointed as the National Policy Advisor on Public-Private Partnerships and Urban Redevelopment to the National Bar Association President for 2021-2022. [1] [12]
He appeared in the "This is capitalism: CEO Stories" podcast titled, "How Can We Be More Self-Aware and Emotionally Intelligent in Business?" in August of 2021.[6] [7] And also, in the 'Owl tail' podcasts interviewed by Phil.
Awards and Achievements[edit]
Dee Brown has won the following awards:
1. In 1999, Mr. Brown was named the Entrepreneur of the year for the state of Tennessee by the U.S. Small Business Administration. [11]
2. In 2013, He became the first minority Department of Defense contractor to have a Federal contract with the US Navy Nuclear Power Command at Goose Creek, SC.[12]
3. In 2015, his construction firm, Concrete Constructors, Inc., was named the 7th fastest-growing inner-city company in the country by ICIC and Fortune Magazine. [12]
4. In 2019, The P3 Group Inc. was named as a Mississippi business success story by the Mississippi Development Authority, and Mr. Brown was selected as a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council (2020).[11]
5. In 2021, he was awarded the Congressional Black Caucus Presidential Corporate Philanthropy Award by the National Bar Association. [8] [9] [12]
