History
dezerv. was founded in April 2021 by former Senior Managing Partners who were also a part of the founding team at IIFL Wealth: Sandeep Jethwani, Vaibhav Porwal, and Sahil Contractor. While working at IIFL, they realized that for too long working professionals have been investing based on incomplete knowledge, which usually results in sub-optimal portfolios with lower returns, higher costs and incorrect asset allocations[2][3]
The idea is to make expert investing accessible to young professionals and help them unlock it – with a minimum ticket size of Rs 50,000.
Services
dezerv. creates a personalized mutual fund recommendation for users using their Integrated Portfolio Approach (IPA). This consists of a diversified selection of mutual funds depending on an individual's investment objectives. The investment strategies are designed to create wealth over the long term, and the strategies evolve based on market changes.[4][5]
The platform also provides access to growth assets that are riskier but potentially deliver high returns. These assets are made available after being vetted by the experts at low ticket sizes.
It recently launched a Portfolio Management Service (PMS) to clean up legacy portfolios which have ad-hoc investments. It has a minimum ticket size of ₹50 lakh with a hurdle rate of 15%. In other words, dezerv. will not change any management fees or performance fees unless it generates a CAGR of more than 15% over a period of 3–4 years.[6]
Funding
dezerv. has raised $7 million from Elevation Capital and Matrix Partners India in its maiden institutional fundraising. The company counts Whiteboard Capital, Blume Founder’s Fund and other marquee angel investors, industry executives, and family offices among its investors.[7]
