Don Bosco School, Siliguri[1] is a Salesian institution, located at 2nd Mile, Siliguri.[2]

The school's logo contains a lighted lamp floating over water & lotus growing from the soil with the words Virtue & Knowledge.

This is the ethos of the school's education—virtue & Knowledge. Virtue is primary. Virtuous young men were the need of the hour when Saint John Bosco started the first educational cohort. Virtuous young men are the need of the hour today. Ethics is embodied in the lotus that blooms in the mud.

Knowledge, the next primary, is embodied in the lighted lamp floating in the water. Knowledge is the understanding of how the known universe behaves in space-time. Knowledge is the ability to identify resources and apply knowledge to these resources, to convert the said resource into valuable goods & services. For instance, converting hydro energy into electricity using a motor.

The school's approach to embodying children with Virtue & Knowledge is visible in the balance of theory & practice. The periodical co-curricular activities punctuated the theory classes all around the calendar year. "Play when it's time to play" - A Bosco maxim resounded true during every break period (no matter, how short).
