Eve (Emery Album)
Eve is the seventh studio album by the American rock band Emery, released on November 9, 2018.[1] It is the third album to be released through the band's own independent label, BadChristian.[2] It's also the first album released since David Shelton's return to the band full-time.[3]
Recording, release and promotion[edit]
After success with their previous album, You Were Never Alone, the band again turned to IndieGoGo to crowdfund their seventh LP, Eve.[4] Backers of the campaign received copies of the otherwise-unavailable Emery: Classics Reimagined EP, including re-arranged & re-recorded versions of "So Cold I Can See My Breath," "The Smile, The Face," and "As Your Voice Fades," plus a copy of advance chapters of the book "Emery, the Unlikely Masters of Rock: How Four Rednecks and a Hipster Became Screamo Legends," by Aaron Lunsford.[4]
The album's first single, "Is This The Real Life" was released on September 7, 2018[5] with the official music video dropping on September, 18, 2018.[6]
The album's second single, "Safe" is a tribute to the mothers of Matt Carter and Devin Shelton, both of whom passed away in the years leading up to the album's release.[7][8]
