Gouri nair
Gouri Nair is a multi-lingual actress predominantly appears in Malayalam, Kannada , Tamil and Arabic films. She made her debut in 2014 Malayalam film Blackforest where she was paired opposite to Manoj K Jayan. Some of her other films are Pattabisheka(2015) ,Thondan(2017), Two Days(2018) Chaddi Dosth kaddi alladisbutta(2021) and Nainaa(2021). She is the granddaughter of A V Menon who was a renowned freedom fighter and a senior journalist with Indian Express, Mathrubhumi, Malayalanaduu and Al-Ameen and Perumbilly Amminni Amma who was also a freedom fighter. Career[edit]
In 2013 she was casted by National Award winning Director,Mr. Joshy Mathew, in his movie ‘Black Forest’ Paired opposite to Manoj K Jayan. He chose her from the youth festival grounds, where she won Best Actress Award for theatre for two years consecutively. The movie won National award for Best environmental film. Also, it was premiered in many prestigious film festivals, including Moscow Film Festival. Then, in 2015, Arabic filmmaker, Dr. Khalid Al Zadjali casted her in his feature film ‘Al Hara’, pairing opposite to Adil Moosa Al Zadjali , then in the same year 2015, she did her first Kannada film ‘Pattabhisheka’ paring opposite to Yuvaraj Kalyan Kumar, who is the grandson of veteran actor Kalyan Kumar. In 2017, She did her first Tamil film ‘Thondan’ Directed by National award winning director Samuthirakani, she was paired with actor sounder Raja. Director Samuthirakani chose her from another malayalam movie, in which he and she acted together, ‘Two Days’ which was released in 2018, even though it was shot earlier before Thondan. Two Days was an experimental film of two hours which was shot in one single shot. It was directed by famous malayalam director, Mr.kalabhavan Nisar. In 2020, she had shot for her second Kannada film Chaddi Dosth KaddiAlladusbutta’ directed by Oscar Krishna, then her next Kannada film NAINAA‘ her first Heroin centric film which is release awaiting directed by Sridhar Siya. she is also waiting the release of her tamil project 'Irai' which was directed by Mr. Rajesh Selva in which veteran actor Sharathkumar is leading. She was casted as performance oriented female lead in all the films

Early Life[edit]
Gouri Nair was born in Trissur, Kerala to Suresh Babu who was a senior administrator in Consolidated contractors International company (CCC) in the Middle East and Girija.S.Nair, who is the daughter of Late.freedom fighter couple. She has two sisters. Archana Nair, settled in Canada , who is a Software Engineer with Cognizant Technologies married to Rahul babu who is a Senior Animator with Warner Bros, Canada. And Karthika Nair, settled in Australia, who is a Bio Medical Engineer married to Vineesh Kulamkully who is an Electronics Engineer working as Engineering Manager in Common Wealth Bank of Australia.
She started her schooling from Indian Islahi School Abu Dhabi and finished it from St. Joseph’s HSS, Kerala. She did her Plus two in journalism from St. Antony’s HSS, Kerala. Then she pursued her BA in journalism from Baldwin women's Methodist College, Bangalore. Soon after her Bachelors Triple Main degree she completed her Masters in MA in Mass Communication from Amrita University, Coimbatore and then she took her MBA in Human Resource from SM University. She is a trained classical dancer.
