ilker Furat (born February 10, 1982) is a Turkish boxing manager and promoter. He also holds a position in the Turkish aviation sector as a manager for THY Technic. Mr. Furat owns 12 Raund Sports where numerous services are provided. The company has a variety of professional boxing services which entails the following: Management (Athlete representation, licensing and procedures), Matchmaking (Finding Competitors or Participating in Organizations), and Coach Support (Working with a personal trainer). 12 Raund Sports also provides Social media services, such as: Consulting on Your Social Account; Like and Follower Support; Creating Video, Visual and Audio Files. In addition, 12 Raund Sports has a podcast series known as RingOut.
Hometown[edit]
ilker Furat is registered as a boxing manager[1] and promoter in Yenigün village of Kadirli district of Osmaniye. He holds a boxing promoter's license in the Turkish professional boxing federation and in the German boxing association. In addition, Mr. Furat is a part of Türkiye's Professional Boxing Commission.
Academic Career[edit]
Initially, he had graduated from Dr. Tevfik Sağlam's primary school. Next, he competed middle school at Beyoğlu Fındıklı High School. Eventually, graduating from Maltepe Küçükyalı Industrial Vocational High School in 1999. Spanning from 2001 until 2003, ilker attended the Çukurova University Osmaniye Vocational Schools program in the Electrical Department. This is when he obtained his degree as an aircraft maintenance technician.
Athletic Career[edit]
His involvement within the sports industry was in the youth category at Galatasaray Basketball Branch in Istanbul, Türkiye. Additionally, Mr. Furat took part in many special tournaments while playing basketball[2] at amateur level in teams such as Kurtulus Sports Club and Osmaniye Police Force.
Aviation Career[edit]
In December 2004, he stepped into his professional career as an aircraft maintenance technician at MNG Teknik. Here he worked actively until 2011. At this point in time, ilker set out to perform his duty in the Turkish military service. After working in Antalya at MATS Technic for a short period of time in 2013, he obtained a position at THY Technic. Currently, Mr. Furat continues to maintain working in management at THY Technic.
Management Career[edit]
ilker took on the role of Press and Publication Secretary in the 30th term of the Aircraft Technicians Association (UTED). Additionally, he has been a participant in numerous events and activities in the aviation sector. In this role, it is understood that involvement in the events, as well as activities within the aviation sector is crucial.
Boxing Career[edit]
In 2017, he started broadcasting with the 12 Raund Boxing[3]page on Instagram and shared posts on many topics related to amateur and professional boxing. This eventually reached the boxing audience with news that kept the pulse of the agenda.[4] In 2019, he started to become a boxing manager[2][5] and carry out PR activities for professional boxers, such as: Deniz Köziğ, Burçin Çakır, Sezer Olpak, Buse Uncu[6] and Ruslan Myrsatayev. ilker Furat also is at times a commentator.
