International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR)
The International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism is an international human rights non-governmental organization.[1] It was founded in 1988 by Buraku people, an ethnic minority of Japan.[2] According to the Organization's website, its goals are "eliminating discrimination and racism, forging international solidarity among discriminated minorities and advancing the international human rights system." [3] The organization is based in Tokyo, but retains a UN liaison office in Geneva and regional partners across Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America. [4]
IMADR has held consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2009.[5]
