James Curtis is an American Writer[1] and Cyber Security and Reliability Thought Leader[2].
Education[edit]
Curtis received his associate's degree from Western Nebraska Community College.
He began working in IT in Western Nebraska in 2008[3].
Early Career[edit]
While in school for IT, Curtis interned at a hospital in Western Nebraska[3]. Shortly after, he relocated to Sacramento, CA where he continued his career in IT.
Cyber Security & Reliability[edit]
In 2019 he began giving talks, and writing articles on various topics, including Cyber Security[4], Site Reliability[5][6], and Observability[4]. His talked ranged from technical demonstrations, to how to build distributed security teams.
Published Works[edit]
In 2023 Curtis published his first book Cribl Stream Fundamentals
