James McShane is a semi-professional footballer, currently playing for Vanarama National League side Dorking Wanderers. He has previously represented Fulham, Clyde, East Stirlingshire, Staines Town, Chipstead, Molesey, and Walton and Hersham, before joining Dorking in 2016. Normally a central midfielder, but is more than comfortable in an advanced forward role, and was often deployed as a winger earlier in his career.

Football runs in James' family, with his younger brother Connor recently representing Kempston Rovers in the Southern Football League, and is related to Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend, Jimmy Nicholl.
