August 2009	Injured	13	A person, 13, was with other people near railway lines. He got onto a train carriage, was electrocuted, and his clothers caught fire. They climbed off the train carriage and then later collapsed. It was reported that doctors were saying that the person had little chance of survival.
September 2009	Injured	10	A person, 10, was at a train station in the city of Iasi, with other people. He climbed onto a freight carriage, was electrocuted, and their clothes caught fire. A person saw it happen, lowered the person from the roof of the train carriage and called the ambulance. They received injuries including 1st to 3rd degree burns to 70% of their body. Doctors were reserved as to what chances of survival the person had.
16 February 2010	Injured	11	A person, 11, was walking past Mărăşeşti train station. It was reported that they were travelling to a stadium and shortened their route by going over the railway lines. They climbed onto a train carriage, were electrocuted, received 3rd and 4th degree burns to 65% of their body, were transported to hospital and put in intensive care.
23 March 2011	Injured	10	A person, 10, climbed on top of a train carriage at Filiași train station, they received an electric shock and fell from the carriage. They received 3rd to 4th degree burns to 70% of their body and suspected fracture to their cervical vertebrae. They were taken by plane to hospital in bucharest and doctors were reserved as to the persons chances of survival.
13 June 2011	Injured	12	A person, 12, was near the Manta Roșie train depot area in Iasi with other people. The person got on a freight carriage, attempted to take photos, was electrocuted and fell to the ground. A person nearby called emergency services. They received a head injury and burns to 50% of their body. He was reported as being conscious and stable hemodynamically and being in a serious condition. The person had a reserved prognosis.
21 June 2011	Injured	10	A person, 10, went over to a freight carriage at Adjud train station, climbed on top of the carriage and received an electric shock. He received 3rd to 4th degree burns on 90% of his body and was taken to hospital in Bucharest.
1 October 2011	Injured	10	A person, 10, was at Bacău train station near a disused train line. They climbed on top of a train carriage, were electrocuted and received 3rd and 4th degree burns to 60% of their body. They were to be sent for treatment at a hospital in Bucharest.
22 April 2012	Died	20	A person, 20, was with other people in Herăstrău Park. They climbed onto a metal arch that is a part of the railway bridge, were electrocuted and fell. They fell past a railing 4 metres below the metal arch onto an asphalt footpath 15 metres below. They were kiled as a result of the event.
3 June 2012	Injured	12	A person, 12, was amongst train carriages at Socola train station in Iasi. They were on top of a carraige, were electrocuted and fell to the ground. They received burns to 70% of their body and received treatment at a Neurosurgery hospital. They were transported by helicopter to hospital in Bucharest and doctors were reserved as to the persons chances of survival.
23 June 2012	Injured	23	A person, 23, was with another person fishing next to a railway bridge on the Soames river. While using his fishing rod the person touched the overhead powerlines and received an electric shock. They received burns to 40% of their body and were taken to an emergency care unit in Cluj-Napoca.
21 April 2013	Injured	13	A person, 13, went with two other people to the Palas train station, climbed onto a freight carriage, received an electric shock, fell from the wagon and received burns. After being admitted to hospital doctorssaid that the next 48 hours would be critical for the way that the persons condition evolves.
22 September 2013	Died	16	A person, 16 went with another person to the Palas train depot yard. The 16 year-old got onto a train carriage, was electrocuted and fell to the ground. Emergency services arrived at the scene and found that the person had died.
31 December 2013	Died	15	A person climbed a railroad pole and received an electric shock and fell approximately 4 metres. They were treated in hospital for head and spinal injuries and it was reported that they died a few days later.
29 March 2014	Injured	15	A 15-year-old person who was with two other people at the Baciu station near Cluj-Napoca, climbed onto a decommissioned freight carriage, was electrocuted and fell from the carriage. A small fire broke out at the place where they fell. A person nearby arrived at the place where they fell, found the person conscious and crying from pain. When emergency services arrived the person was in a state of unconsciousness and was then taken to hospital in a serious condition with burns to 50% of their body.
31 March 2014	Died	16	A person, 16, was with four other people near Turda Cluj county. The person climbed on top of a freight carriage, was electrocuted by overhead power lines, fell from the carriage and received injuries including burns to 80% of their body. On the 10th of April the person died in hospital.
20 April 2014	Injured	14	A person, 14, was with other people near railway lines in Iaşi. He climbed on top of a freight car, touched the overhead power lines and was electrocuted. The people with him called emergency services and when paramedics arrived they found him in an unconscious state. He received 3rd degree burns to 70% of his body and was transferred by plane to Bucharest.
22 April 2014	Injured	10, 11	Two people, aged 10 and 11, were near railway lines in Jupa, Caraş-Severin County. They were playing near freight wagons, climbed on top of one and were electrocuted. One suffered burns to 75% of their body and was flown to hospital in bucharest while the second suffered burns to 15% of their body.
April 2014	Died	17	A person 17, was walking in an area of Ploiesti near the East station. They wanted to take a shorter route and crossed over railway lines. They climbed on top of a freight carriage were struck by an electric arc from overhead power lines, fell from the carriage and later died in hospital.
16 June 2014	Injured	15 ?	A 15-year-old and a second person, were amongst railway lines at Dej Train station. They climbed on top of a parked freight carriage and it began to move down the train track. As it began to move away they were both hit by an electric arc and fell off the carriage. The 15 year-old fell between the two carriages and the second person landed on the railway bed. Employee's heard the second person in pain, went over to him and he told them of the 15 year-old still in between the freight carriages. The driver stopped the train at Cășeiu train station having driven 10km. The 15 year-old received burns to 65% of his body and the second person received burns to his face and hands. The age of the second person has been reported by multiple news agencies as between 11 and 13.
2015	Injured	15	A person, 15, was tavelling with three people passed Lugoj train station. They climbed on top of a train car “... to make a picture for facebook.” received an electric shock and fell from the train carriage. They received burns to 60% of his body, traumas from the fall and were taken by helicopter to hospital.
2 April 2015	Injured	18, 18	Two people, both estimated to be 18 years-old went up onto the railway bridge inside Herăstrău Park, Bucharest. It is thought one person wanted to take a picture using their phone. They climbed up the metal arch on top of the bridge and received an electric shock from the overhead power lines. One of the two people fell roughly four metres from the arch and onto the railway track bed. They received cranio-cerebral traumas, second to third degree burns on 60% of their body and were put in an induced coma. The other person present received burns to 50% of their body.
24 April 2015	Injured	15	A person 15, was with some other people at Lugoj train station. He climbed onto a train carriage wanting to take pictures, received an electric shock and fell from the wagon. The injuries they received were polytraumatic including 1st to 4th degree burns to 60% of their body. They were taken by helicopter to hospital.
28 April 2015	Died	16	A person, 16, and two people, aged 15, went to Baneasa train station in Bucharest to take some photos. It was reported that the 16 year-old “climbed onto a station wagon, for his friends to photograph his jump”. As he went to jump off the wagon an electric arc hit his body. An employee of the station became aware of the incident after seeing a voltage trigger. Emergency services arrived and found the person to be dead.
8 May 2015	Died	18	Two people, aged 17 and 18, were near Socola trainstation in Iasi. They climbed on top of a train carriage to take a picture. They received an electric shock and the 17 year-old fell off the wagon. The 18 year-olds clothes had caught on fire and they remained on the roof of the carriage. A passerby was crossing a walkway when they heard a loud noise, climbed onto the roof of the train carriage where the 18 year-old was, lay down and helped to extinguish the flames. Emergency service were called and they were taken to hospital. The 17 year-old was stabilised and received second degree burns to her hands and left thigh. The 18 year-old died in hospital the following night.
27 July 2015	Died	16	A 16-year-old was at the Adjud train station with two other people. The 16 year-old climbed onto a freight wagon and an electric arc hit her resulting in burns to 80-90% of her body. A passerby saw what happened, called an ambulance, they were taken by helicopter to a hospital in Bucharest. They later died from their injuries.
1 August 2015	Injured	13	A person climbed a railroad pole and received an electric shock and received 3rd degree burns to their lower limbs and hands and were in a serious condition in hospital.
30 September 2015	Injured	20	A person, 20, was in Hoia-Baciu forest with some other people when the group saw some decommissioned train carriages near the Baciu Train station. The 20 year-old climbed on top of one of the carriages. A train, travelling along the tracks came close to the carriage the person was standing on. The person raised their hand to wave as a train passed by. His head touched the overhead power line, they received an electric shock and their body was set on fire. He fell off the carriage hitting his head and was taken to hospital. The person was treated for burns to 86% of their body and received a severe head injury.
9 February 2016	Died	49	A 49-year-old person was walking in between Gherla and Bunesti train stations carrying a fishing rod. They arrived at a railway track, began crossing and as their fishing rod came close to the overhead power lines they received an electric shock. When emergency services arrived they found that the person had died.
11 May 2016	Died	19	A person climbed up a railroad pole and it is thought that they grabbed the electric wires by the bracket and they received an electric shock and fell to the ground. People then began to perform resuscitation on them until an ambulance arrived and then soon after their death was declared.
4 February 2017	Died	30	A person, 30, was found dead on top of a freight carriage. The carriage was located on the train line near Buclei street and the CFR Chitila depot. It is thought that an electric arc formed between the person and the overhead power lines.
7 March 2017	Died	16	A 16-year-old was on a rail bridge in the Herăstrău Park in Bucharest. They climbed on top of a metal arch on the bridge and attempted to take a selfie whilst on top. They received an electric shock from the overhead power lines resulting in 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 90% of their body. Eight weeks later they died in hospital.
23 March 2017	Died	30	A 30-year-old was at the Buzau train station with some other people. He got onto a freight wagon, attempted to take a selfie, and was hit by an electric arc. He died in hospital the next day.
April 2017	Injured	17	A person, 17, travelled to Onesti with some other people. On the return trip they, they went to the station, got on train to go home, and then the 17 year-old climbed on top of a train carriage. They received an electric shock, were taken to hospital and were treated for burns to 40% of their body.
22 April 2017	Injured	14	Four teenagers were walking in the vicinity of the Craiova Triaj stop. One of the people aged 14 climbed on top of a train carriage to take a selfie. He was hit by an electric shock, received burns to 50-60% of his body and was transferred by helicopter to hospital in Bucharest. The other 3 teenagers attempted to remove him from the train car and in doing so also received an electric shock with injuries received including burns to one persons hands.
24 April 2017	Died	16	A person, 16, had been riding a bike ride with another person in Cluj county. They came to a field where a decommissioned train lies on a dead railway. The person climbed onto one of the freight carriage. One of the people had wanted to take a picture. They were hit by an electric arc, their body caught on fire and they fell. The other person with him called emergency services and another person nearby went over and poured a bottle of water on him. He was taken to Cluj County hospital and then flown to Bucharest for treatment. On the 2nd of May it was pronounced that he had died in hospital.
	Injured	14	A person, 14, was with other people at a deserted train station in Timisoara. A news source, describing what occurred, reported that "It was not the first time he was going through the old trains..." and then quotes the 14 year-old as saying "there's something, a wire fell, I touched the train, something. ...I woke up on the train track." The person was electrocuted with burns on almost 50% of their body. They had a reduced sensation of pain due to the state of shock they were experiencing. They were taken to hospital in Bucharest to receive treatment. It was reported that the healing process for the person will take months and that during this time they will remain in hospital.
June 2017	Died	12	A person, 12, was with other people amongst railway lines near Buzau station. One news report indicated that they wanted to take a picture with their phone. They climbed onto a carriage, an electric arc hit his body, he fell from the carriage hitting a ladder on the way down. With burns to 70% of his body he was taken by helicopter to hospital in Bucharest. He died the following day.
August 2017	Died	19	At midnight between the 18th and the 19th of august a person climbed a railroad pole near a railroad crossing and received an electric shock and fell 6 metres from the pole. As they landed their head hit the rail and on the 23rd of August they died.
28 August 2017	Injured	17	A person, 17, was with 5 other people walking near railway lines in Aiud. The 17 year-old walked away from the group, climbed onto a freight carriage, was electroctued by an electric arc, fell off and hit his head. He was taken to hospital with burns to 70% - 80% of his body.
19 October 2017	Injured	12	A person, 12, was with another person along a bridge in Hunendora. The 12 year-old climbed over the pedestrian railing and was on the outside of the bridge and they leaned over the bridge and as they did so moved their foot below the bridge where a railway power line situated on the track below electrocuted them. They fell 6.5 metres receiving head injuries including a possible skull fracture. They received second degree burns to one hand and one foot and were flown by helciopter to hospital in Timișoara in a serious condition.
25 November 2017	Died	12	A person, 12, who was near the Inotesti railway station, climbed onto a train carriage and was electrocuted. Emergency services arrived and found the person unconscious. The person died as a result of the incident.
May 2018	Injured	13	A person, 13, was at the Vatra train station and climbed onto a train carriage. It is thought they would have wanted to have taken a selfie. The person received an electric shock and fell from the carriage. The person was being treated at a hospital in Bucharest.
10 May 2018	Injured	10	A person, 10, climbed onto a train carriage near Muncel and was electrocuted. A person saw them being electrocuted and called emergency services. In a conscious state the person was transported by plane to Bucharest. They received 3rd to 4th degree burns to 60% of their body, were taken by plane to bucharest and doctors were reserved about the progress of the persons condition.
June 2018	Injured	21	A 21-year-old person climbed onto a train wagon at Dumbraveni train station. They received an electric shock from the overhead power lines, fell off, and landed in between the station platform and the railway track. They were taken to hospital with injuries including head trauma with intracranial hematoma and burns to 80% of their body. It was reported as being uncertain as to whether the person wanted to take a picture or whether it was a suicide attempt.
18 July 2018	Injured	15	A person, 15, who had been electrocuted by overhead train power lines, was found lying on the railway track by emergency services. The location where the person was found near Gate 6 of Constanta port and Zefirului st Constanta. They received 3rd to 4th degree burs on 60% of their body and were transported to hospital. They were in a conscious state while being transported to hospital.
6 July 2018	Died	17	A person climbed a railroad pole near a railway line and received an electric shock and fell to the ground. Rescue workers found the person with no vital signs of life and attempts at resuscitation were made and then the person died.
22 September 2018	Died	11	As a train was leaving a train station a person attempted to jump from the roof of the train and as they jumped they received an electric shock and when the train arrived at the next station their body was found.
10 October 2018	Died / Injured	22, 24	Two people, aged 22 and 24, were at Focsani Train station. It is thought they wanted to take a picture on a freight carriage. They climbed on top of a freight train carriage and an electric arc made contact with them. The 24 year-old received second and third degree burns to his left arm and received treatment from Focșani County Hospital Plastic Surgery Section. The 22 year-old died from their injuries.
13 November 2018	Died	15	A person, 15, was with another person near train carriages at Onesti train station. The person climbed onto a freight carriage it is thought to take a picture with a bird. An electric arc hit him and his clothes caught on fire. Emergency services arrived at the scene and were unable to do anything to save the persons life.
10 March 2019	Injured	12	A 12-year-old, was with four other people at Valu lui Traian train station. It was reported that the person wanted to take a picture. They climbed onto a train carriage, an electric arc hit their body, set his clothes on fire and he fell from the freight carriage. He suffered burns to 80% of his body and was taken by helicopter to hospital in Bucharest.
6 April 2019	Injured	13	It was reported that a person, 13, wanted to take a picture and climbed onto a freight carriage at Adjud train station. An electric arc formed and the person received an electric shock. They suffered second and third degree burns and was taken to hospital.
16 April 2019	Injured	16	A 16-year-old, was at Buzau station with two other people. He climbed on top of a train carriage to take a selfie, was hit by an electric arc and fell from the train carriage. He was taken to hospital with injuries including burns to 70% of his body and trauma from the fall.
19 April 2019	Died	23	A person, 23, was with other people near railway lines in Chitila. It was reported that with the desire to take a picture, the person climbed onto a train carriage, an electric arc formed between the person and the power lines and they were thrown from the carriage. When emergency services arrived at the scene they found that the person had died.
5 May 2019	Injured	13	A person, 13, was with another person near Lămâiului Street in Bucharest. The route they travelled along enabled them to shorten the distance they travelled. Whilst near the railway line the 13 year-old climbed up a ladder, got onto the roof of a train carriage, was electrocuted and fell to the ground. A person nearby found the person and stayed with them till emergency services arrived. They received injuries including 3rd to 4th degree burns on 50 - 60% of their body and were taken to hospital.
16 June 2019	Injured	16, 19	A 16-year-old and a 19-year-old, were on a railway bridge in Herăstrău Park. The 16 year-old climbed on top of a metal arch that is on the bridge it was thought to take a picture. An electric arc formed between the power lines and his body. The 19-year-old person also climbed onto the arch, and went over to him with the intention of helping him. He received burns to his hands, and then stayed with him until help arrived. The 19 year-old received burns to 60% of his body. He was transferred to a burns unit in Belgium and put into an induced coma.
25 July 2019	Injured	18	An 18-year-old, was waiting for a train at Aiud station with a group of people. At one stage he climbed on top of a freight car, it is thought to take a photo and was hit by an electric arc. He fell off the freight wagon, received cranio-cerebral trauma and burns to 60% of his body, and was taken by helicopter to hospital in Bucharest.
5 September 2019	Injured	19	A person, 19, was walking with another person, with bikes, near the Aradul Nou train station. The 19 year-old climbed up onto the train carriage, was hit by an electric arc, and fell from the carriage. They received burns to 50% of their body, cranio-cerebral injures, a lung injury, a broken rib and injuries to his spinal cord. On October the 2nd they underwent a skin graft operation and were due to undergo an operation on their spine.
3 January 2020	Injured	20	A person, 20, climbed on top of a train at Chitila Triaj station and was electrocuted. They received multiple injuries including burns to 50% of their body and they were flown to the Vienna general hospital to receive treatment.
