'Mac Davis Mac Davis is a businessman in the sports and gambling industry. Mac owns Mac Davis Thoroughbreds[1], a racing syndicate with micro shares in many horses worldwide as well as a co owner of 2023 Kentucky Derby Winner Mage.

Early Life

Mac was born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where he lived for 13 years before moving to New York City. He attended Shorecrest Prep, a private school in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Before moving to New York, he would spend his time at Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, and Derby Lane, the oldest greyhound track in America, with live greyhound racing from 1925-2020.

Career

Mac got his start in minor league baseball, working with many teams before the major league baseball's realignment. Following the 2020 season, he worked with both minor league and independent baseball league teams. In the 2022 season, Mac worked with the MCBL, a summer baseball league in the New York Metropolitan area.

In February of 2022, Mac signed as a horse racing contributor for multiple media groups. Aside from his work, he has made appearances for horse racing on News 12 and other visual media groups. He has worked with Monmouth Park and Meadowlands Racetrack this current meet. An avid racino worker Mac tackled greyhound racing with starting up and managing multiple media outlets for the 2022 season with major coverage on the WVGOBA Panhandle Championship at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack in Wheeling, West Virginia. Mac hosts live racing videos and shows for greyhound races often and looks to bring back greyhound racing to a national level.

Mac also owns and operates his own racing company known as Mac Davis Thoroughbreds, a syndicate with many micro-shares in horses throughout the world. His most successful horse is Mage, a three year old colt who won the 149th Kentucky Derby in 2023.

Mac is known for his championship belt dubbed "The Horse Racing God" which is found with him on almost every time he's at the track. The belt features the Breeders Cup, Kentucky Derby, NYRA, Breeders Cup Friday, and Gulfstream Park logos, on the belt.

Mac Davis Thoroughbreds

Mac entered the Thoroughbred racing portal following the Belmont Stakes buying his first race horse share in a six year old bay gelding named Gold Link. Mac started Mac Davis Thoroughbreds, a horse racing share syndicate and owns many shares in racehorses in the USA and throughout the world. As the 2023 season inches closer, Mac hopes to have more race horses in the winners circle as well as a hopeful Kentucky Derby winner.

Mac purchased multiple shares in horses in October from the Owners Group UK, not one of his many stable partners "I'm thrilled to work with a great team across the sea and look forward to seeing success in some of our recent investments," said Mac in a press release for Mac Davis Thoroughbred Corp. "I can't wait to visit the winners circle with the Owners Group soon!"

Wheeling Miners

Davis is a co owner of the Wheeling Miners arena football team, an indoor football team, who plays in the American Arena League 2. Mac co owns the team with Chris Duffy and will play miners home games at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. Davis also looks to expand his sports ownership with other football and small based sport leagues and owns a greyhound named Jumping Jill, who races at Wheeling Island Hotel Racetrack and Casino.

Personal Life

Mac loves to spend time with his mom at the track and they can often be seen posing for photos on his Instagram. Mac can be seen with his dog Ruth at many events throughout the year. Mac just finished becoming certified pilot and enjoys flying around cities in the United States with his favorite being in Gainesville Florida.
