Maikel Gregorio Rincón Rincón (November 09, 2003) is a singer and author. He is recognized as one of the artists of the border between Colombia and Venezuela[1].
Biography[edit]
Mike was born on October 09, 2003 in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. At the age of 4, he began to feel an interest in music, singing at church. Well, he started singing and dancing in his pre-teens[2].
Victim of bullying at school[3], he will find himself on the street after family difficulties[4]. However, he will continue to write and sing[5].
He then rapped and wrote while performing original music in clubs[6].
His history in the music industry begins with the Canadian record company You Are Not Alone Records[7].
Musical career[edit]
His first production was "Se Presta" which he made on his own after collecting money penny by penny doing odd jobs like sewing shoes.
It was while making his second single "Hope" that a record label saw it on Youtube[8].
On December 01, 2021, Mike Coner has signed a record deal with You Are Not Alone Records[9].
Later in July 2022, he released his first EP "Destino o Casualidad"[10].
Mike works with Josmel, the Sawel Music producer who almost makes all of his beatss.s.
Music Style[edit]
Mike is a singer and songwriter making reggaeton music with an international sound, incorporating rap, dancehall, hip-hop, and dreamy pop influences. That is, in other words, Latin urban[11].
His biggest musical inspirations are Ne-Yo, Big Soto, Micro TDH and Shiloh Dynasty[12].
In his songs, he not only talks about everyday human experience and the dreams of his generation[13], but also mainly from the torments of love because he lived a great love story that inspired many songs[14].
Anecdotes[edit]
Mike's first stage name was Matricop, an abbreviation for his two favorite movies: Matrix y Robocop[15].
Mike had the opportunity to speak directly with his idol, Micro TDH who told him: «Nada en la vida es casualidad si no por cosas del destino»(Nothing in life is by chance if not by things of destiny)[16].
Mike is used to singing in his shower and also on the bus. It is there where he composes most of his songsIt is there where he composes most of his songs[17].
Mike wrote his first love song for a girl at school[18].
Mike was nominated in the Newcomer of the Year category in Vive Nuestra music in Colombia contest[19].
