Orkhan Bayramov (born 15 April 1985)[1][2] is an Azerbaijani film director, producer and screenwriter. The short film "Kill Kill" Winner-NAFCo Film Festival, won the Judges Awards Drama.[3]
Life and career[edit]
Orkhan Bayramov was born on 15 April 1985, in the Boladi village of the Lankaran. In 1991–2002, he received his secondary education at Boladi village secondary school No. 1 named after martyr Nahir Akhundov. He served in the military in 2003–2004.[4]
From 2010 to 2014, he studied at and graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Faculty of Film Directing.[5][6][7]
From 2009 to 2014, he was a coach and filmmaker at the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation. The film years begin in 2010. In 2010–2013, he co-wrote and directed the films "Turn of Death", "Turn of Death 2" and "Wallet" at the Yarasa Film Company, which he founded. While working for the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation, he co-wrote and directed makes two short films, the "Ecological Mission"[8] and "Turn of Death 3".[9] In 2015, he changed the name of Yarasa Company to Yarasa Art Pictures and began his first professional film career. In 2015–2017, he made his first full-length feature film, Once Upon a Time in Sheki,[10] a joint project of Azerbaijan and Turkey, written by Eren Azak.[11] He is married and has a son.[citation needed]

Festivals[edit]
Documentary "Spiritual Journey - Arbaeen" third "International Arab Photo and Video Award" in Tehran in 2017 [35] Winner of the International Film Festival.[36]
on 26–28 February 2021, the short film "Kill Kill" won of the NAFCo Winter Film Festival (NORTHERN APPALACHIAN FILM COLLECTIVE) and it won the "Judges Awards Drama" and festival covers New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. 1,800 films from 93 countries were presented at the festival.[37] The short film "Ecological Mission" was nominated for "Official Selection" on 4 March 2021, at the festivals "Zeitimpuls shortfilm" and "Lahore International Children's Film Festival". The short film "Kill Kill" was nominated for "Semi Finalist" among the short dramas at the Gold Coast International Film Festival in New York on 6 March. The film was shot in the style of "timelapse".[18]
The short film "Run Run" was also nominated for The Official Selection of The Lift-Off Sessions Festival on the same day (6 March) and the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions Festival on 11 March.[18]
