Porta-Jazz (formally Associação Porta-Jazz) is a non-profit association based in Porto, Portugal, with a stated goal of developing the city's jazz scene. The association functions as a concert venue.[1] - having organized over 1000 concerts in the span of 10 years - and as a music label - Carimbo Porta-Jazz[2], with more than 50 published records[3]. Porta-Jazz promotes jazz and improvised music at a regional, national, and international level, partnering with other associations, such as Robalo Music (Lisbon, Portugal) and AMR (Geneva, Switzerland), and commissioning new music from upcoming artists[4]
Its yearly music festival Festival Porta-Jazz, which has been running since 2010[5] is a showcase of both Portuguese and international jazz musicians, and as of 2022 has reached its 12th edition [6][7]
