RxSense is a U.S. based health information technology (HIT) company.[1][2]
History
RxSense was founded in 2015 by Rick Bates[3] to develop technology solutions for improved healthcare technology and access to affordable medications.[4][5][6] SingleCare, a subsidiary of RxSense, was also started at the same time by Bates to bring better transparency to the prescription drug market.[7] Prior to founding RxSense, Rick was the President and COO for Catalyst Health Solutions.[8] He was awarded with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2018 for his work in SingleCare.[9] In December 2021, Martin Short partnered with SingleCare to promote its program of lower cost medicines in television ads.[10][11] In 2021, RxSense partnered with ProAct to improve performance in claims processing and benefits management.[12] RxSense received an investment from the private equity firm Parthenon Capital in 2020 for an undisclosed amount.[13][14][15][16] As of 2021 RxSense has formed a partnership with TroyRx.[17] In May 2022, EmsanaRX, a pharmacy benefit manager, announced a partnership with RxSense to create more transparency for its employers.[18]

SingleCare annually awards 25 pharmacies and pharmacists through thousands of recommendations from customers.[23] FamilyWize was a prescription discount card and mobile app.[24] In 2017, FamilyWize partnered with United Way to offer more access to prescription discounts.[25] In 2021, FamilyWize merged with SingleCare Services to continue its business under the SingleCare brand.[26]
