Sami Barmada (born 1970); is a Syrian Italian engineer and professor at University of Pisa.[1] His research focuses on the Computational Electromagnetics, Power Line Communication and Non Destructive Testing.[2]

Early life and education[edit]

Sami Barmada was born in Livorno, Italy in 1970 to a prominent Syrian family . Sami Barmada obtained a B.S in 1995 a M.S. in 1997 and a PhD in 2000 in electrical engineering from the University of Pisa.

Research[edit]

Sami Baramda is a Professor at the School of Engineering of University of Pisa. According to Google Scholar, Barmada has an h-index of 20 [2]  according to the Scopus one of 17.[3] He is also the Co-Editor in chief of the ACES Journal.

Awards and honors[edit]

He is a fellow member of the an Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES) and served as president from 2015 to 2017.[4]
