Sebastien Coell (born 18 February 1986)[1] is a British Photographer noted for his digital landscape photography
Born in Torbay, Devon, England in 1986, he graduated with a degree in Engineering from the Open University before choosing to commercially pursue his past time as a landscape photographer in 2016, starting in the stock photography genre[2], he has works published in a range of over 10 books from Lonely Planets Guide to Wales[3] Epic Hikes of the World[4] Best of Great Britain[5] Great Britain's Best Trips[6] to City & Guilds Foundation in Construction and Building Services Engineering[7] His work has been published online by various institutions including the BBC[8] and Reuters[9]
From 2018 he decided to focus on the photographic print and wall art market whilst documenting much of his photographic journeys on his YouTube channel[10] sharing his creative approach to photographing the great outdoors, in which he would often camp at locations to capture images during sunrise or sunset.
In 2017 he progressed into the travel photography genre, first traveling to Iceland for a 10 day photographic trip, then to Norway's Lofoten Islands in which he composed an article for Digital Photo Mentor[11] about his journeys around the Archipelago. He has visited Italy, Germany, Croatia, France and Slovenia over the corresponding years.
In 2020 at the start of the Corona Virus Pandemic he set up Sebastien Coell Photography[12] a website which provides photographic works of the places he visited, He has been a long supporter of the WWF[13] from the sites inception, and has supported local charity artwork auctions at Devon's, Bovey Tracey's Paradiso Gallery[14] His drone video footage of the white cliffs of Dover was also included in the Channel 4 documentary The Year Britain Stopped[15] - 24 May 2021, in the same year he was interviewed by Glaszart[16]
in 2022, He started a online blog offering both travel suggestions and photography tips from the places he has visited. He was included in an online article for Archant's Devon Life Magazine discussing his Top 5 Photographic Tips for Beginners[17] with him also writing an article on Five Scenic Locations on Dartmoor's for "Visit Dartmoor's" readers[18]
