TOR Kenward Family Wines was founded in 2001 by Tor Kenward and his wife Susan and focus on single vineyard California premium Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley AVA,'s best vineyards ^[1] ^[2].

History and Production[edit]

Tor Kenward has worked in the wine industry for an extended time with Beringer for over 27 years finishing up as V.P at Napa’s oldest continuously operating winery ^[3] ^[4] ^[5] ^[6]. In 2001 when he started TOR Wines, he hired winemaker Jeff Ames ^[7]. The winemaking is done in a minimalist style with little invention with a focus on vineyard sites ^[8] ^[9]

TOR wines became well known when golfer Phil Mickelson drank the wine, Black Magic from the Wanamaker Trophy in June of 2021 ^[10] ^[11] ^[12] This limited-production 100 point Black Magic wine is the most expensive wine from TOR Wines and is a blend of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc ^[13] ^[14] ^[15] ^[16].
