The Metropolitan Borough of Trafford is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England. It is home to 211,800 people,[2] covers 41 square miles,[3] and includes the towns of Altrincham, Partington, Sale, Stretford, and Urmston. Until 1974 the area was part of Cheshire. Trafford borough is an integral part of the Manchester City Region having strong transport and economic links within Greater Manchester respectively.
