Plot
Welcome Obama [10] is the story of a surrogate child, Krishna. He is born to an American couple in the womb of an Indian mother, Yashoda (Urmila Kanetkar). Lucy (Rachel Louis Wise), the American mother, wants a perfect boy but discards him even before he is born as Yashoda falls down, creating a delivery complexity. Later, she delivers a beautiful and active boy, and everyone calls him Obama due to his white skin. Years later, Lucy learns about the boy and comes to India to take him. Yashoda develops a strong bond with him and refuses to send him back. But Lucy manages to acquire him legally.
American girl Lucy (Rachel) needs a surrogate mother. She comes to Rajamundry to find a surrogate mother. She finds Yashoda (Urmila) for the job. She entrusts the responsibility of surrogate mother to Yashoda and takes all care of her. Just before Yashoda is going to deliver the baby, Lucy goes to America. Yashoda gives birth to a healthy and cheerful baby boy. She names him Krishna. All the people in the village call Krishna Obama and show great fondness towards him. Yashoda becomes attached to Krishna. At this juncture, Lucy comes back from America and asks Yashoda to give her Krishna.
