== History ==

ILVE started as a specialist in hand-crafted commercial quality ovens and cooktops in 1952 in the small town of Campodarsego, just outside Venice in Italy.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://ilveappliances.com|accessdate=2 September 2011|title=The ILVE Story}}</ref>  The family-run company then turned its hand to the Italian domestic market.

In 1984, ILVE ovens were first brought into Australia by Eurolinx Pty Ltd, the wholly Australian owned distributor for ILVE appliances in Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and China.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://ilve.com.au/about|accessdate=2 September 2011|title=The ILVE Story}}</ref> ILVE freestanding ovens were the first of its kind to be completely manufactured from stainless steel available in Australia. ILVE appliances are now distributed through more than 400 retailers.
