Alien visitation
Alien visitation are extraterrestrial visits that involve an encounter between an extraterrestrial being to a human.
According to pseudoscientific ancient astronaut proposals, extraterrestrials had been active in the affairs of early man.[1] Erich von Däniken, a notable ancient astronaut believer, considers that the deities of ancient cultures were attempts at explaining alien visitation.[2] The ancient astronaut hypothesis has no support within the scientific community.
Alien abduction accounts are attested to by various people.[3] Von Dänicken thinks abduction accounts fit the ancient astronaut narrative claiming similarities to ancient prophecies or oracle sessions.[4]
