Abuse by a Politician Awareness Month or ABPAM

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

National Abuse by a Politician Awareness Month is celebrated annually in October to raise awareness of the need for harsher legal consequences for politicians who abuse their spouses, partners, associates, acquaintances, and others. Because abusive politicians may inadvertently or directly use their political prowess to recieve leniency for crimes of abuse due to their political status, Abuse by a Politician Awareness Month is necessary to ensure abusive politicians are held to the same standard of accountability as non-politicians treatment in the legal/criminal justice system for crimes of abuse. In early 2022, Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens faced allegations that he physically abused his ex-wife and children, which his ex-wife Sheila allegedly documented. In early August 2022, the voice of Cindy DeAngelis Grossman-ex-wife of former NFL star turned Republican politician Herschel Walker said in a political campaign ad, "His eyes would become very evil....I got into a few choking things with him. Also in late August 2022, Renowned Global Activist, Equality Advocate, and Republican Greshun De Bouse alleged Republican mayoral candidate Melvin G. Slack put her in a chokehold, threatened to kill her, and harassed and threatened her repeatedly via calls and texts. Activist De Bouse was granted an emergency restraining order against Slack on August 22, 2022, and the permanent restraining order on September 1, 2022-with the provision that Slack could still remain in the mayoral race. ABPAM exists to raise awareness of the need for abuse allegations against politicians to be investigated thoroughly, and offenders are prosecuted, and that push to have certain candidates in certain seats does not take precedence over this. ABPAM was founded after Renowned Global Activist and Equality Advocate became the first survivor of mayoral candidate Melvin G. Slack's abuse of at least three previous complaintants granted a restraining order against Slack by a judge after Slack put her in a chokehold, harrassed, stalked, and threatened her, but was still allowed to remain in the mayoral race. The chokehold Slack put De Bouse in is now popularly referred to as #SPADIC (Slack Put De Bouse In Chokehold) and the restraining order victory is referred to as #DGRO (De Bouse Granted Restraining Order).
