Betty Ng (吳家瑩) is an architect and educator based in Hong Kong, and founder of the architecture practice, COLLECTIVE.

Education[edit]

Ng was educated at Cornell University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Architecture. She subsequently completed her postgraduate masters degree in Architecture at Harvard University.

Career[edit]

Ng founded her interdisciplinary design studio, COLLECTIVE in 2015 with its headquarters in Hong Kong..[1] The practice has since expanded to London and Madrid. Ng previously practiced at OMA, Herzog & de Meuron and with Massimiliano Fuksas' studio.

She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has held positions as Visiting Professor of Architecture at the National University of Singapore and Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong[2]

Currently, Ng is a Board Director at Harvard Club Hong Kong, Board Member of The Cornell Club of Hong Kong and a member of the International Women’s Forum.

Notable Work[edit]

Ng has worked on the proposal for the Axel Springer Media Headquarters in Berlin and the Hermitage Museum Art Repository in St Petersburg. Her practice has an international portfolio of work spanning exhibition design, interior design, product design and architecture.[3]
