Casablanca.AI (or Casablanca.AI GmbH) is an AI-startup based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany in Europe that provides a virtual camera for real-time head and gaze optimization to establish a face-to-face connection in video conferencing without the need for any additional hardware.[1] The company was founded in the year 2020 in Pforzheim by Carsten Kraus. [2][3]
The core technology of the Casablanca software is based on GAN. The software can be used as a standalone application and is primarily integrated as a virtual camera in common video conferencing applications like Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and WebX, etc.[4] [5] The company has been awarded the "AI-Champions of Baden-Württemberg" 2022 Award by the Economic Ministery of Baden-Württemberg[6] [7][8]
