CIPACA (Chennai Interventional Pulmonology and Critical Care Associates) (P) Ltd is a Chennai based healthcare organisation, consisting of Healthcare professionals specialized in establishing tertiary level Multidisciplinary Critical care units, designed to cater urban and rural areas. The organisation had teamed up with hospitals in Tamilnadu and also expanding to other states like Uttar Pradesh,Karnataka,Maharastra....[1][2] to support them during emergency care and other critical medicinal support [3]. The organisation has also entered into agreement with other state governments to provide healthcare and emergency services and also supporting them in treating Covid patients[4][5].

History and Objective[edit]

CIPACA was started in Chennai in 2015[6] with intention to bridge the gap between secondary and Primary or rural level medical care services in backward places[7][8][9] offering advanced critical care[10] and support services to the healthcare places in these areas and supporting them in handling Covid pandemic treatment[11][12].

The organisation sets up Emergency and ICU departments and enhances the available infrastructure, adhering to International standards and with the help of its onsite team consisting of intensive staff personnel, nurses, and doctors, takes care of immediate stabilization of the patient and continuity of ICU Care[11][13] and supports them through its TELE ICU team and Super-speciality teams round the clock and also support through mobile vans and tele-medicine[11][14].

Founder Biography[edit]

Dr G. Raja Amarnath, is trained in Critical care in India and Abroad[11] and has got an understanding of international ICU standards which are followed strictly. He observed the shortages of these facilities in critical care in Indian hospitals operating in the backward areas of the country and is helping bridge the gap by offering high standards of training to these hospitals.[11].

He had also made study and research on "Heartfulness meditation cultivates gratitude",which was published on International Journal of Recent Scientific Research[15]

Operations[edit]

Till 2021, it has a network of 800 technical personnel, with 150 doctors and 250 nurses and technicians and other operational personnel treating 1,06,000 patients[11]. The organisation started supporting the Government during Covid pandemic and by teaming up with Heartfulness to setting up 50 beds facility in Manapakkam, Chennai[4][16][17].

In Year 2022, it Started operations in Yadgir,Karnataka[18] and started collaborating and operating Intensive care unit services in Uttar Pradesh[19].

It operates in states of Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and developed facilities to cater about 300 ICU patients in Tamilnadu[20][21] in addition to similar facilities in other parts of country and 400 Emergency patients[22][23].

CIPACA has started ICU operations across 12 hospitals, 9 of which are outside Chennai and in discussion to add more new projects[11][24].

Its operations includes North-Eastern states Tripura[25][26][27][28]

The organisation has 24/7 emergency & ICU operations partnering with Matoshree Multispeciality Hospital, Shrigonda, in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra[9][29]

Rural Hospitals Development[edit]

CIPACA has tied up with banking and non banking financial institutions for generating assistance in funding needed for renovation of rural hospitals in India.[30][31]
