Claudia Porges Beyer

Claudia Porges Beyer is an American multimedia artist and illustrator, born in New York, New York in 1956. Her father is the Austrian cartoonist, Paul Peter Porges and her mother is Austrian fashion designer, Lucie Porges. Beyer currently lives and works in Kingston, Jamaica.

She has illustrated two children's books with Jody Linscott, Once Upon A to Z: An Alphabet Odyssey[1], published under Double Day in 1991[2] and The Worthy Wonders Lost at Sea[3].

Exhibitions[edit]

In 2017, she exhibited selected work as a juried artist in the Jamaica Biennial.[4]

In 2019, The National Gallery of Jamaica showed work from Beyer in their summer exhibition.[5]

In 2021, The Olympia Gallery presented Beyer's work in a group show.
