Electric Era Technologies (Electric Era) is an American electric vehicle infrastructure company based in Seattle, Washington. Electric Era develops, installs, and maintains PowerNode charging stations.[1]

History[edit]

Electric Era was founded in 2019 by Quincy Edmund Lee. Most of the company's executive leadership, including Lee, are former SpaceX engineers.

Electric Era has raised a combined $8 million in investment.[2]

In 2022, Electric Era demonstrated its product as part of the 2022 EPRI Incubatenergy Labs Cohort.[3] This demonstration validated Electric Era's PowerNode Platform in a field deployment and proved its compatibility with SK Signet chargers[4].

Products[edit]

Electric Era offers charging stations to the convenience store industry in the United States.[5] The standard charger used with Electric Era's products is manufactured by SK Signet. All Electric Era stations incorporate Electric Era's software, PowerNode OS.[1]

Software[edit]

Electric Era's software product is PowerNode OS. It monitors the interplay of batteries, EV chargers, and grid constraints to keep peak power levels that charging vehicles draw low and thereby minimize demand charges from utilities[5][6].

Charging stations[edit]

PowerNode Nexus - This is a charging station incorporating a 125kW, 220 kWh battery energy storage system.[7]

PowerNode Nexus+ - This is a charging station incorporating a 233kW, 220 kWh battery energy storage system.[7]

PowerNode Zero - This is a charging station without a battery energy storage system.[7]
