Hampton Airfield (FAA LID: 7B3) is a privately owned public-use airport located on 37 acres in North Hampton, New Hampshire.[1] The airfield provides parking, maintenance, aircraft rental, and flight instruction. The airfield's runway consists of two portions, with the easterly portion turf and the westerly portion asphalt.[2] There is also a restaurant on the premises, The Airfield Cafe.[3]
History[edit]
Hampton Airfield was founded in 1946 as a pilot training facility for World War II veterans. This training was originally given in Piper Cub aircraft.[4] The airfield still provides training in and maintenance for these type of aircraft. The airfield's runway was repaved in 2017.[5]
