Kevin Dwayne Jones[1][2] (born May 28,1973), also known as KJ3 or KJ, is a well known American sound engineer and producer from St. Louis,Missouri.[3][4][5][6]His recording and production facility is located in Jackson, Mississippi.[7]
Education[edit]
Kevin attended Callaway High School in Jackson Mississippi where he was a member of the band. He graduated in 1992.
In 2003, Kevin Jones received master certification in studio production from Berklee Online.
Career[edit]
Kevin Jones is the owner and operator of 16 Bars Recording Studio in Jackson, Mississippi.[8][9] He began working at the facility in 2005 while it was under other ownership. He took over ownership in 2014.[10] A year later, he accepted the award for Studio of the Year at the First Annual Jackson Hip Hop Awards in Jackson, Mississippi. [11][12] He is credited on Allmusic guide and Discogs as the engineer and producer of the music recordings of singer- songwriter Aretha Henry.[13][14]
