Lea Interchange Bus Company Limited trading as Stagecoach London, is a bus company operating in East London. The Lea Interchange Bus Company brand is a subsidiary of Stagecoach London and operates services under contract to Transport for London. The company was formed when Stagecoach London purchased Lea Interchange (LI) garage from Tower Transit London

History[edit]

In May 2022, it was announced that Stagecoach London would take over Lea Interchange garage and the routes from Tower Transit.[1] for £20m. On 25 June 2022 the takeover was completed on 25 June 2022. Stagecoach London took over operations of routes 58, 135, 236, 262, 308, 339, 473, D8, W14 and School route 678 under the newly formed Lea Interchange Bus Company Limited entity[2]

Lea Interchange (LI)[edit]

As of February 2024, Lea Interchange garage operates routes 58, 135, 236, 262, 276, 308, 339, 473, D8, W14 and School route 678.

On 24 June 2022, Stagecoach London took over the operations of this garage from Tower Transit.

On 16 September 2023, Stagecoach London recommenced operating route 276.

In 2025, Stagecoach London headquarters will transfer over to Lea Interchange due to West Ham garage closing.
