Netherlands competed at the 1976 World Championships in Athletics in Malmö, Sweden, on 18 September 1976. It was the first world championship in athlectics and it featured just one event, the 50 kilomtres race walk.[1] The course passed through the streets of the city and the start and finish points were within Malmö Stadion.
