Life & Education[edit]

Paa Kwasi hails from Axim in the Western Region of the Republic of Ghana, and was bred in the municipal capital of Prestea Huni Valley, Bogoso. He had his secondary education at Takoradi Senior High School. He continued by obtaining a mastermind in networking at NIIT, Accra.

Career[edit]

In 2010, Paa Kwasi joined forces with Gideon Edu Gyamfi who is also known as Ennwai, to form the musical group Dobble. After parting ways with his colleague, he has been successful in his performances and had been performed with the likes of Daddy Lumba, Gurunkz, Mr Bentil, Flowing Stone and others at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.[3]

He bemoaned that due to the carelessness attitude of the Ghana Music Right Organisation (GHAMRO), some parents might prevent their children from venturing into music.[4]He then advised his colleagues not to stay in the cities and reduce the 'Highlife' genre, to being played at funerals and pub's, but rather ensure Ghanaians fall in love with their kind of music which is Highlife.[5]

In 2016, the legendary highlife singer Ofori Amponsah, teamed up with him to work together on a song.[6] He then signed a five-year record deal from a Ghanaian footballer as he embarked on his solo career.[7] He is noted for his popular high-life song 'Abe' which won him Highlife Song of the year at the RTC Western Music Awards 2018.[8][9]
