Revolution Recap is a podcast review of the New England Revolution, Major League Soccer, and the U.S. national team.[1] The show was created by RadioShack XtremeSM Soccer Fan Sean Donahue, co-founder of New England Soccer Today and writer for the Sports Journal.[2] The show is currently co-hosted by Greg Johnstone.[3][4] The show became part of the Bleav content network in May 2023.[5] The podcast was formerly frequently co-hosted by Brian O'Connell of ESPN Boston, Kris Valukis and Tanner Rebelo. Revolution Recap was recognized by MLS for its hosts knowledge of the league and Revolution and its hosts have regularly been sought-out to provide contributions, interviews, and input on the New England Revolution for many notable media outlets, including Yahoo! Sports Radio, The Phoenix, CKGM, WPRO, ESPN, WSAR, and Boston.com.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13] The podcast ranks first on Feedspot’s top New England Revolution podcasts list and Player FM’s New England Revolution Podcasts list.[14] [15] The podcast additionally appears on Apple Podcasts most popular soccer podcasts list.[16] The podcast's reporting has been featured on outlets including NESN.[17]

Guests included players and coaches from both the Revolution and US National Team as well as local and national soccer writers.[21] The radio show was featured in a 2005 episode of WCVB’s Chronicle covering the New England Revolution.[22]

Past guests have included Clint Dempsey, Steve Nicol, Tommy Smyth, Michael Parkhurst, Steve Ralston, Shalrie Joseph, Jay Heaps, Jeff Larentowicz and other notable names in U.S. soccer.[23]
