Works[edit]

After their sketch "The Lympics Are Coming" was picked by The Guardian as one of its viral videos of 2012[8], The Exploding Heads were commissioned by ESPN to make the webseries "How Will They Line Up?"[9] and "The Premier League In 90 Seconds."[10] They wrote and performed series which were broadcast during major international football tournaments, including "Ballsupski" for The World Cup in 2018[11], and attempted stunts such as visiting all 20 Premier League stadiums inside 24 hours to mark ESPN's opening day coverage of the 2019/2020 season[12].

Their ESPN show "FIFA Fantasy League"[13] won a Drum Online Media award in 2016[14].

They created the character "Colin from Portsmouth" in 2021[15][16], whose acerbic commentary of British politics and the culture wars features regularly on LBC's The James O'Brien Show[17].

The Exploding Heads were commissioned by gambling firm Paddy Power to produce football comedy sketches during Euro 2020[18]. Subsequently they starred in Paddy Power's first TV sitcom The VAR Room[19], which was broadcast on Virgin Media Two in Ireland[20] and Amazon Prime in the UK[21].

In 2022 they were commissioned by Stak to write and perform in the audio sitcom Sports Horn[22][23], a parody of sports radio starring their long-running character Former-Professional-Footballer-Turned-Current-Pundit Ian Fiveankles.
