The USS Truckee (AOG-75) was a gasoline tanker acquired by the US Navy for the task of transporting

gasoline to both other naval vessels and bases.

Truckee was laid down on May 28th, 1945 as the MV Eola, a type (T1-MT-BT1) under Maritime Commission contract at St. Johns River Shipbuilding, Jacksonville, FL., and later acquired by the US Navy on a charter loan basis.

Post-War Decommissioning[edit]

Naval acquisition for the Truckee was canceled on August 11th, 1945 and it was sold by the Maritime Commission on July 16th, 1947 to International Tankers where it was renamed to the MT Eola. It was later sold again to Standard Oil where it was renamed to the MT California Standard. The California Standard was again sold for the final time to Luzon Stevedoring Corp located in Manilla, where it was renamed M/V LSCO Transpacific. and later scrapped in 1977.
