Veterinarski Glasnik is scientific journal in the field of veterinary medicine launched in 1904.
About Journal[edit]
Veterinarski Glasnik is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of scientific knowledge from the veterinary medicine and related academic disciplines. As an open access journal, Veterinarski Glasnik is published in English, with summaries in English and Serbian in edition of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Veterinarski Glasnik publishes a full research papers, reviews articles, mini review articles, short communications, technical reports, case reports and letters to the Editor. The instructions for manuscript preparing and submission, peer-review procedure and all other information are available on the Journal homepage.[1] CiteScore 2021 of the journal Veterinarski Glasnik was 0.7.[2]
History[edit]
Veterinarski Glasnik was founded in December 1903 and the first issue was published in January 1904 by the Veterinary Association of the Kingdom of Serbia.[3] From 1920 to 1941 in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and later in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia,the Journal was published under the title of Jugoslovenski Veterinarski Glasnik in editon of Yugoslav Veterinary Association. Publication was interrupted during The Balkan wars and First and Second World Wars and the post-war periods (1912-1919 and 1941-1946).[1] Since 1947, the Journal came out again under the same title in the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia and latter in the SFRY. After disintegration of SFRY, the Journal is published under the title Veterinarski Glasnik in edition of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.[1]
Frequency[edit]
From the establishment of Journal until 1998, articles were published monthly and since 1999 has changed the periodicity six times per year. With the change in editorial policy and the transition to English language Veterinarski Glasnik is published twice a year.[1]
