"THAIB ADAMY"
Thaib Adamy, born in the city of Idi on the east coast of Aceh, is a PKI leader who originates and resides in the Veranda of Mecca. Since the 1965 tragedy and continued by the New Order (Orde Baru) government, he seems to have been forgotten by the people of Aceh. It was only after reformation in 1998 that he began to be revealed again in a vague way through a book entitled "Atjeh Mendakwa" which contained his pleas when he was tried for inciting unrest two years before the G30S/PKI took place. He was murdered by being shot in the head by the anti-communist army during the PKI massacre in 1965-1966. He was arrested while traveling to Takengon, Central Aceh and taken to Lhoknga on the west coast of Aceh for execution. He left a wife and nine children.
