Ókori lexikon

The Ancient Lexicon (Hungarian "Ókori lexikon") is a large-scale lexicon in the early 20th century in Hungarian.

Features[edit]

The two-volume work was published between 1902 and 1904, its editor-in-chief Vilmos Pecz was published by Franklin Irodalmi és Nyomdai Rt., Budapest. The work tries to process the biographies of ancient Greek and Roman writers, poets, scholars, antique concepts, famous monuments and objects with the need for almost completeness. Each article often includes additional literature on the subject. The volumes are complemented by ample imagery.

Reprint and electronic editions[edit]

The work was republished in 4 smaller volumes in 1984–1985 by the Book Sales Company in a reprint edition. It was made available electronically by the Hungarian Electronic Library.
