İlker Karter Air Base is a military airfield located in the Kyrenia region of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. İlker Karter Air Base is named after Air Pilot Lieutenant İlker Karter, who died on July 20, 1974, during a mission flight in the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. The air base is situated in the Kyrenia region of Northern Cyprus and serves as a significant military installation for the Turkish Armed Forces.
The airbase features two intersecting runways, one dirt and one asphalt, although it has not been used for its intended military purpose for some time. It was originally designed as a military airbase and now functions primarily as a fenced military area with limited activity.
