Şah Sultan (daughter of Bayezid II)

Şah Sultan (Ottoman Turkish: شاه سلطان, "sovereign"; Amasya 1474 - Bursa after 1506) also called Şahzade Şah Sultan, was the daughter of Ottoman sultan Beyazid II.[1]
Life[edit]
Şah Sultan was born in Amasya in 1474 . His father was Bayezid II, when she born he was still a Şehzade and the sanjagbey of Amasya, her mother is unknown, was not Bülbül Hatun because is said that Hatice Sultan was her half-sister.[2] Şah Sultan spent her childhood years in Amasya.
She married Nasuh Bey the Sanjakbey of Silistra, in 1490. They had a daughter from this marriage.
She was very charitable and built a mosque in 1506. Şah is not mentioned again after 1506. Her body was buried in the tomb of hier half-sister Hatice Sultan in Bursa.[1]
