محمد بن شمس الدين

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

[1]

Mohammed bin Shams al-Din He is the Sheikh, the scholar, and the prominent traditional jurist. He is one of the most important figures in responding to the people of innovation. Born in Deir ez-Zor, Syria, he traces his lineage back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through his daughter Fatima. He supervised several Islamic websites such as: the Islamic Encyclopedia site, and the Encyclopedia of Responding to Doubts site, and he is the founder of the Student of Knowledge platform. He worked in teaching in Jordan, where he gave various lessons in mosques and elsewhere, and then moved to Europe.

=== His Professional and Academic Life ===

Mohammed bin Shams al-Din studied economics, then worked in Islamic sciences and returned to university life to study a bachelor's degree in Sharia with an (excellent) grade. He still works in the field of financial management in a number of companies. As for Islamic knowledge, he focused most of his attention on the science of Hadith and the books of creed, including other creed books to the extent that he read most of the books of the Ash'ari sect.

The Creed of Mohammed bin Shams al-Din:[edit]

He holds a pure and sound creed, which is what is established in the Quran and Sunnah and what was determined and believed by the righteous predecessors - may Allah have mercy on them. He was one of the most vehement in responding to the people of innovation, desires, and misguidance, and he was the most severe in responding to the Ash'arites and Sufis. He strongly condemned innovations and believed that the words of the predecessors are wiser and safer and are to be prioritized over the words of the successors.

The Sheikh said (as quoted on his website): "My creed: It is exactly what you find in the Holy Quran and the authentic Sunnah, and what is in the following books: (The Belief of al-Shafi'i) compiled by al-Hakari, (The Foundations of the Sunnah) by al-Humaidi, (The Foundations of the Sunnah) by Ahmad ibn Hanbal, (The Oneness of God) by al-Bukhari, (The Creation of the Servants' Actions) by al-Bukhari, (The Introduction to the Sunan) by Ibn Majah, (The Attributes) by al-Nasa'i, (The Sunnah) by Harb al-Kirmani, (The Refutation of the Jahmites) by al-Darimi, (The Refutation of al-Marisi) by al-Darimi, (The Sunnah) by Abdullah ibn Ahmad, (The Oneness of God) by Ibn Khuzaymah, (The Sunnah) by al-Khallal, (Explanation of the Foundations of the People of the Sunnah) by al-Lalika'i... and other books of the predecessors and those who transmitted from them."

    • The Jurisprudence of Mohammed bin Shams al-Din:**

The Sheikh follows the jurisprudence of the predecessors from the people of Hadith and tradition, pursues the path of truth, and prioritizes authentic Hadith over any opinion that contradicts it.

He said on his website: "In jurisprudence: I follow the statement of the people of Hadith, especially Malik, al-Shafi'i, and Ahmad. I do not name my religion after any one of them, nor do I follow the odd opinions."
