栃

栃 is a Chinese character. It is one of the Kyōiku kanji or Kanji taught in elementary school in Japan.[1]
It is one of the 20 kanji added to the Kyoiku kanji that are found in the names of the following prefectures of Japan[2]. In this case because it is present in the name of 栃 (Tochigi)[2].
It has design variations officially recognized by the Japanese government.[3]
