History
Massimiliano Peluso and Andrea Turri co-founded 100ASA in response to the lack of a safe and enjoyable online service for photographers to share images online.[6] [7]As professional photographers, Peluso and Turri realized that the market was in need of a 'truly curated photography website' that would provide photographers with a fair, transparent and reputation-based curation process.[8]Building on these challenges, the duo created a platform with a model that allows a community of photographers to curate other photographers.
Technology
100ASA uses the latest technologies to ensure a seamless user experience and is the only photo sharing website providing instant translation for comments users add to photos in their own language. The site makes use of AI technology to measure the popularity index of a photo. Unlike most other websites, 100ASA doesn't use a 'linear' approach to calculate popularity. Instead, it uses a non-disclosed self-learning code that adapts and learns from previous experiences.

100ASA offers four galleries: Elite, Prime, Upcoming and Opening depending on photo popularity. 100ASA reviews photos on the galleries based on a number of different criteria. Photos for the Elite Gallery are hand-picked by the team to ensure top quality, making up to 3% of the total photos on the website.
