18 April 1930 was widely regarded to be the most boring day in human history, due to the fact that there was no news in any news channels or newspaper.[1][2]

On 18 April 1930, a BBC News announcer said that "There is no news."[3][4][5][6][7] Normally, news bulletins are 20 minutes; however, after this announcement, BBC News broadcast piano music for the remaining 15 to 18 minutes.[8]
