The 1980–81 Eastern Illinois Panthers men's basketball team represented the Eastern Illinois University during the 1980–81 NCAA Division II men's basketball season. This was Rick Samuels First season at Eastern Illinois. This season was the last that Eastern Illinois played at the Division II level.

Forward Ricky Robinson was the team's leading scorer with 17.3 points, 6.3 Rebounds and 3.5 Assists.
