1995 Aigo Earthquake

On June 15, 1995, at 03:15 a.m., an earthquake struck Aigio with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale. Twenty-six people died. The deaths occurred when an apartment building in the city center and the hotel Eliki in Valimitika collapsed. Near the beaches, liquefaction was reported.
