The 1999 season was the eighth season of Armenian First League since the independence of Armenia, contested by 9 teams.
Season events
- FC Dinamo Yerevan changed its name back to FC Dinamo Yerevan.
- Arpa FC returned to professional football.
- In the middle of the season, FC Kasakh was dissolved and its position was taken over with a newly founded FC Mika (FC Mika-Kasakh).
