1.3. eSIM deployment and device-management integration[28]

As part of its Business Mobile plans, 1GLOBAL supports several methods for deploying eSIMs to employee devices. Ranging from manually activated QR codes to automated provisioning through mobile-device-management systems.

1.3a. Jamf Zero Touch[29]

1GLOBAL provides an API-based integration with Jamf Pro for the automated deployment of company-managed Apple devices and their associated eSIMs. The integration allows device enrolment, configuration and eSIM provisioning to take place as part of the initial device setup process reducing the need for employees or IT administrators to activate subscriptions manually.

1.3b. Mobile-device-management EID preload

Businesses can provide the eUICC identifiers, known as EIDs, of compatible employee devices in advance. Subscriber and eSIM information is then associated with each device, allowing the assigned eSIM profile to be delivered through a supported mobile-device-management platform. The method supports mobile-device-management systems including Software like Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro (among others).

1.3c. Apple Lookup Service

For compatible Apple devices, an eSIM can be associated with a device’s EID through the Apple Lookup Service. The assigned eSIM profile is then made available to the device and can be downloaded during device configuration.

1.3d. 1GLOBAL iOS application

Employees using their own devices can receive and activate an eSIM through the 1GLOBAL iOS application. The application can be distributed directly to users or through an organisation’s mobile-device-management platform.

1.3e. QR-code activation

Although more traditional, 1GLOBAL also supports the issue an individual QR code to employees. Scanning the code on a compatible device downloads and activates the assigned eSIM profile without requiring integration with a mobile-device-management system.

2. Communications Recording & Transcription[30]

1GLOBAL provides communications-recording and analytics services for regulated organisations and other businesses that need to capture, retain and analyse employee communications.

The services support the recording of mobile voice calls, SMS messages and supported communications conducted through collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and Whatsapp. Recordings can be stored in 1GLOBAL’s cloud environment or transferred to a customer-operated archive or compliance platform.

2.1. Mobile recording for compliance

The communications-recording service is primarily intended for financial institutions and other organisations subject to regulatory record-keeping and monitoring requirements under regulations like MiFID II, Dodd Frank Act - among others.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

Supported business calls and messages are captured at the mobile-network level rather than traditionally through an application installed on the employee’s device. Use cases can involve using the recordings for internal monitoring, investigations, regulatory reporting and the reconstruction of communications involving employees, clients and counterparties. The service can be integrated with external archiving, surveillance and compliance systems through application programming interfaces.

2.2. AI-powered transcription and communications analytics

1GLOBAL’s communications-analytics services convert recorded voice communications into searchable, time-stamped transcripts. The system can support automated transcription, translation, call summaries, keyword and phrase searches, speaker identification and contextual (sentiment) analysis. Businesses can use these functions to identify recurring topics, customer concerns, potential conduct risks and patterns within recorded employee communications.

Transcripts and related metadata can be exported or integrated with customer-relationship-management, compliance, surveillance and business-intelligence systems.

3. IoT Connectivity[31]

1GLOBAL provides cellular connectivity for Internet of Things devices, including payment terminals, asset trackers, cameras, sensors, shared-mobility vehicles and connected products supplied by equipment manufacturers. Its IoT services support physical SIM cards and eSIMs and cellular technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and LTE-M (subject to network availability).

The company uses multi-IMSI technology to allow compatible devices to connect to supported networks across different countries. This is intended for device fleets that operate internationally or require access to more than one mobile network. Customers are offered the abilities to manage SIM cards, eSIMs, subscriptions, data consumption and device lifecycles through a IoT connectivity-management platform or through APIs. Available management functions include device activation and suspension, usage reporting, account permissions, notifications, audit records, bulk operations and automation rules that respond to abnormal usage, device changes or location changes.

4. eSIM Software for Mobile OperatorsCite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name[32][33]

1GLOBAL supplies eSIM-management software and telecommunications infrastructure to other mobile network operators and mobile virtual network operators.

It includes consumer remote SIM provisioning based on the GSMA SGP.22 specification, an eSIM IoT Manager based on SGP.32, machine-to-machine remote SIM provisioning based on SGP.02 and a device-entitlement server. These systems allow operators to create, distribute and manage eSIM profiles, support digital customer onboarding and control access to network-supported services on compatible devices.

4.1. eSIM IoT Manager (SGP.32)[34]

1GLOBAL’s eSIM IoT Manager is based on the GSMA SGP.32 specification and is used to manage eSIM profiles on Internet of Things devices. The system enables profiles to be remotely imported, installed, activated, changed and deleted after a device has been deployed, without requiring physical access to the device. The SGP.32 architecture uses an eSIM IoT Remote Manager together with an IoT Profile Assistant (IPA) installed on the device and an SM-DP+ platform. Devices can initially be supplied with a bootstrap connectivity profile and subsequently receive a local or alternative operator profile. Profile operations can be managed through a user interface or automated through APIs.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

4.2. Consumer Remote SIM Provisioning (SGP.22)[35]

1GLOBAL’s consumer remote SIM-provisioning service is based on the GSMA SGP.22 specification and includes an SM-DP+ platform. The service enables mobile operators to generate, host, download and install eSIM profiles on compatible smartphones, tablets, computers and wearable devices. Supported activation methods can include QR codes, in-application installation, activation at a physical point of sale, universal activation links and direct delivery to compatible devices using their EIDs. APIs can be used for profile provisioning, lifecycle management, automation, reporting and integration with an operator’s existing customer and billing systems.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

4.3. M2M Remote SIM Provisioing (SGP.02)[36]

1GLOBAL also operates a machine-to-machine remote SIM-provisioning platform based on the earlier GSMA SGP.02 specification. The system enables mobile operators and machine-to-machine service providers to store, install, switch and deactivate SIM profiles remotely over the air. The SGP.02 architecture uses an SM-DP component to prepare and store operator profiles and an SM-SR component to manage profiles installed on an eUICC. The system is used for connected devices where replacing a physical SIM card would be impractical. SGP.02 is generally considered a legacy architecture for new IoT deployments following the introduction of SGP.32.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

4.4. Entitlement Server [37]

The 1GLOBAL Entitlement Server enables mobile operators to manage the network services and device features available to individual subscribers. Depending on the operator and device, supported functions can include Voice over LTE, Wi-Fi calling, 5G configuration, tethering, Rich Communication Services, number sharing, connectivity for wearable devices and the transfer of eSIM subscriptions between devices. The platform authenticates subscribers and devices before enabling the relevant service. It can be integrated with an operator’s network and customer-management systems through APIs and deployed in cloud-based, on-premises or hybrid environments.

5. Embedded Telco - White Labelled eSIMs[38]

1GLOBAL provides telecommunications infrastructure that allow other consumer facing businesses to incorporate mobile connectivity into their own applications and offer the resulting service under their own brands. The service is intended but not limited to businesses in sectors including financial technology, travel, aviation, retail and hospitality.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name

Businesses can integrate the service through APIs or distribute eSIMs using QR codes.
