The 2003 Worcester, Massachusetts mayoral election was held on November 4, 2003. It saw the reelection of incumbent mayor Tim Murray to a second term.
Election system[edit]
In order to be elected mayor in Worcester, a person must place first in the mayor's race and also finish among the top six in the at-large city council election, being also elected a councilor at large. An individual cannot be elected mayor without additionally winning at at-large city council seat.[2]
Candidates[edit]
- William Coleman,[3] III, community activist,[4] candidate for mayor in 1993 and 2001[5][6]
- Juan Gomez,[3] Worcester City Council at-large member since 2000[7]
- Tim Murray, incumbent mayor[3]

Murray also finished first in the at-large city council election.[3] Coleman finished second, Gomez finished fifth, Coleman finished seventh.[3]
